Corner 1: ‘Tassel Angel’
Tutors: Jane Kitchener and Bryony Silcott
How to make a festive decoration. Involves tassel creation and a little bit of felting. Some materials will be available on the day, but you might like to bring: a variety of handspun or commercial yarn oddments, suitable for angels, as well as small amounts of combed fleece, fluffy/hairy, even course, is quite good.
Corner 2: ‘Festive Batts’
Tutor: – Mary Paren
How to use carders and combinations of different fibres to make a festive batt. All fibres will be provided, but you may wish to bring your own hand carders
Corner 3: ‘Gift baskets’
Tutor – Inga Ballantyne
How to make a basket created with a length of rope, yarn and crochet stitches. You will need: yarn of your choice and a crochet hook to use with the yarn – probable between 4 and 5mm. Yarn and a number of crochet hooks will be available on the day.
Corner 4: Social Corner
Participants can either use this area to do their own project or continue projects/skills learnt from one of the other corners.
Please note this is a workshop day and not an Open Day, so you need to contact our Treasurer to book a place.
