The equipment listed below is available for loan to members. More items, with photographs, will be added shortly. Items are generally loaned for up to three months, but we need everything back by the June meeting so that it can be checked over and so that it is available for use at the summer shows.           • Hand Carders

            hire cost £5 per month

          • Drum Carder

            with large G clamps – hire cost £10 per month.

          • Blending Board

            with stand, clamps, brush and two dowels for creating rolags. For more information and photos see the write up of our open day in April 2022. Hire cost £10 per month.

          • Large Hackle

            This is used for blending. It comes with G clamps to fix it to a table. Hire cost £10 per month.

          • Small Hackle

            This is used for blending. Hire cost £10 per month.

          • Wool Combs

          • Swing Picker

            For opening up fleece before carding. For more information and photos see the write up of our open day in April 2022. Hire cost £10.

          • Spindle

            Hire cost £5

          • Spinning Wheel

            Kromski Sonata folding wheel and carry bag. Hire cost £20 per month.

          • Lazy Kate

            Hire cost £5

          • Niddy Noddy

            For winding a skein of yarn. Hire cost £5

          • Inkle Loom

            For weaving narrow bands. Hire cost £10.

          • 8" Ashford SampleIt Loom

            Small rigid heddle loom, weaving width 8 inches / 20cm. Hire cost £10.

          • Louet Erica 4-Shaft Loom and Stand

            50cm wide table loom with stand and accessories: warping frame, 2 shuttles, threading hook, cardboard warp sticks. Loom and stand fold flat for transportation. Hire cost £20 per month.

          • 24" Dryad 4-Shaft Loom

            With stand. Hire cost £15.

          • Warping Frame

            For winding a warp for weaving. Hire cost £10.

          • Marudai

            With 8 bobbins and weights. For making braids. Hire cost £5

          • Quilt Weaver Loom

            Also called a pin loom. It comes with a with hook and beater. Hire cost £5 per month
